Accessibility statement

This website aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, in all four languages. As a private personal website it is not legally required to; it tries to anyway.

Pages use semantic landmarks and a consistent heading structure, and a skip link leads to the main content. Everything works with a keyboard, focus is always visible, and the menu and language switcher can be operated with a keyboard and a screen reader.

Text colours meet a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 in both the light and the dark theme. Motion is reduced when your system asks for it, and the live runtime on the home page can be paused. Every diagram has a text description. Interface sound is off unless you switch it on.

The structure is written to work with read-aloud and voice tools: headings, lists and descriptions are real text, not images.

Automated checks with axe run against the main pages in English, German, Portuguese and Spanish, and keyboard operation is tested automatically for the navigation, the language switcher and the menu. The pages were also reviewed by hand at widths from 320 pixels upwards.

The interactive diagrams are illustrations; their full content is available as text beside them, but the interaction itself is designed primarily for pointer and keyboard use. The articles linked from this site are hosted on anylai.eu, which has its own accessibility work.
